To Whom It May Concern:
Chillicothe, Ohio’s first capital city, rich in Native American history, hosts an educational, cultural, and entertaining event to celebrate our Native American heritage. The Feast of the Flowering Moon, held over Memorial Day weekend, started in 1983, and draws crowds of approximately 85,000 people, which greatly impacts our economic status, and offers a three-day family oriented event. The festival features Native American dancing, storytelling, music, and educational information about Native American ways. The festival also offers traders and exhibits, a mountain men encampment rendezvous with working craftsmen and demonstrators, an extensive arts and crafts show, as well as main stage entertainment, including the Ross County Idol competition.
It is a community commitment from businesses like yours that enable us to grow a bigger and better festival each year.
