This
area is like stepping back in time. The men, women
and children in this area live and dress as they did
back in the 1800's. They sleep in tents and prepare
all their foods on an open fire. This is such a great
educational experience for the entire family. The encampment
sits next to Yoctangee Lake and consists of working
craftsmen such as a blacksmith, broom maker, dulcimer
maker, just to name a few. There are many traders selling
or trading their wares and you will find roaming musicians
and display that will keep you entertained and occupied
for quite some time. If you have an interest to participate
in this area, please click here we
will make sure our mountainmen coordinator receives
your inquiry. To
participate in this area, your set up and dress must
be 1800's.
